Bike Rides Along the Riverfront Trail

Beginning in May, bicyclists can enjoy FREE bike rides on the paved St. Louis Riverfront Trail. The rides, which start at 6 p.m., are sponsored by the Great Rivers Greenway District and Trailnet's Bicycle Fun Club. The bike rides are held every Tuesday night through August.

The trail route, which runs from Laclede's Landing northward to the Chain of Rocks Bridge, parallels the Mississippi River and gives cyclists dramatic views of the river. A Service and Gear (SAG) wagon will travel the route until 8:45 p.m., offering assistance to cyclists with flat tires, gears and other problems. Riders may choose either the 7-mile or 27-mile route.
